The Sousa Botelho Pharmacy, located in the parish of Arrifes, began its activity in 1985, establishing a strong presence in its specific geographical area (the dairy basin of São Miguel) due to its wide range of veterinary medicines and carefully prepared pharmaceutical compounds, which it has always excellently provided to the local livestock community.
In the early 1990s, with the aim of evolving its pharmacy model, it was relocated to a more central area of the parish, with new facilities and improved accessibility. In 2017, the pharmacy underwent a complete renovation, creating a pleasant, welcoming, and spacious customer service area, thereby offering users better and more modern services. This transformation allowed it to better meet customer needs through automated medicine dispensing systems and individualized medication preparation.
It currently has a technical team composed of four pharmacists and five pharmacy technicians.
